Comments: Been a life member since I found the 65th was having reunions. Have only gone to 2-3 of them. Only found 2 men I knew back then and had very good talks. The big blow came when I found John Poorman was killed at Struth. I thought all these years he had just been wounded. I pray for his soul every week since. Also have been to a couple of the mini reunions. Think we just may show up in Missouri for it isn't too far. Think we may also show up at Beloxi for mini reunion. I sent all my pictures and books, etc to museum at shelby. Wish now I would have waited a few years and put them into this WW11 museun in Auburn Indiana. Close to home and my family. Maybe I'll see if they can be transfered.

In looking thru the guest book am surprised just how old I just may be becoming for it is the sons and daughters and grandchildren who are signing in. Bernard { Ben} { Becky} Beckstedt

Comments: Hello
My Grandfather SGT. Edward Stefanski served with the 65th during WW2. He died in 1982 when I was 4 years old so I never go to hear what he went through during WW2. If anybody remembers him. Please email me. I would really apreciate it. Thanks

I have had a hard time finding the information I needed, until I found this site. I will be buying the books that are featured, (still have the original "Right to be Proud")and would like to know if there is any one out there who knew my grandfather, and can share some stories with me?

Comments: Hi:

I am the daughter of a 540th Combat Engineer and dedicated a site to my father and his fellow VI Corps Engineers (the 36th, 39th & 540th) WWII. I am trying to collect stories from WWII vets, especially those of VI Corps or other units that were engaged in the ETO.
A veteran friend, Harold Whiting, 157th CE, told me about your site and I'm very impressed with its content. I will place a link from my site to yours this evening.

Regards,
Marion Chard
